COVID-19
As we all know COVID- 19 or 'The Corona Virus' has completely changed our day to day lives, and impacted on many of our lives in a significant way. Many of us have either had to give up work, or been furloughed.
As a registered nurse I have continued to work throughout the pandemic. I have seen first hand the effects in which the virus can take, and it is for this reason I want to ensure your safety as clients is put first.
Changes to treatments:
Although I am going to continue to offer a fully mobile service, there will be a few changes in which will be undertaken.
Prior to treatment, and within 24 hours, if you have developed any symptoms including:
- New persistent cough
- Temperature
- Loss of smell/taste
You must inform me. I will not be undertaking treatments for any client with these symptoms. Additionally to this, if you are living in a household with anyone that has/had any of the above symptoms, you will not receive treatment.
I understand many clients will be eager to return to normality, and receive treatments after being unable to do so, however, these procedures are still being done at risk, and it is important that we work together to keep each other safe, and reduce risk.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Additional personal protective equipment will be used. This will include face masks, in which I will be wearing for all treatments, from entry to the property, to exit.
I will continue to use sterile fields, with a non-touch technique as much as possible. This means only the needle, and sterile gauze will come in contact directly with you. Reducing risk of possible infection. These are not new measures, however, I would like to reassure all clients, that they are in safe hands.
Help and Advice:
As these are such uncertain times, it is only natural to feel anxious. I want my clients to feel as calm, and reassured as possible, not only at appointments, but in day to day life.
If you have any questions or worries about COVID 19, or feel you are struggling please do not hesitate in contacting me. We are all fighting this together.
